Hardscape Foreman

Installation · Fargo, ND

Signature Landscapes Inc. is an established, award-winning landscape design/build firm focusing on high-end residential and light commercial landscape design, installation, and maintenance services. We are currently hiring for an Installation & Hardscapes Foreman to join our family.

Role and Responsibilities

· Manage the execution of projects to ensure completion of job(s) within specifications and project deadlines;

· Delegate job tasks to appropriate crew members and onboard new crew members;

· Ability to lead and work effectively on a crew;

· Direct and teach common horticulture and hardscape practices and installations;

· Operate and perform maintenance on various tools and equipment, including, but not limited to, skid, trucks/trailers and power equipment;

· Assist in the construction of hardscapes and masonry in residential settings;

· Perform walk-throughs before, during, and after the project is completed;

· Meet with subcontractors and supervise quality, efficiency, and deadlines;

· Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner; and

· Other responsibilities as required.

Requirements

· Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the landscape/construction industry

· Clean driving record and active driver’s license

· Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner

· Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

· Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices

· Speak, read, and write English

· ICPI Certification is a plus

Physical Demands

· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift

· Ability to work outdoors exposed to various elements (eg. rain, heat, cold, etc)

· Ability to work up to 100% of a workday in an active capacity, including, but not limited to, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting

Pay

$20-$30 per hour based on qualifications and experience

Landscape Installation Crew Member – Full Time or Seasonal - $15-$20 DOE

Education:

Ability to identify common landscape components, shrubs, and perennials is helpful. Education or experience is preferred, but we will hire candidates eager to learn.

Skills Required:

Passion for hardscape construction or landscaping, willingness to learn the landscape trade, ability to handle the physical demands of the landscaping business and weather. Crew members must be able to take direction from a crew leader and maintain a quick, steady pace. Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a standard truck is preferred.

Desirable Characteristics:

Interested in hardscape construction, landscaping, plants and gardening, friendliness, team player, hard worker, can-do attitude, anticipating the next step, efficient speed, task/goal-oriented, good communication skills, eager to learn, willing to be flexible.

Landscape Maintenance Technician – Full Time or Seasonal - $18-$20 DOE

Objective:

Maintain and manicure new and existing landscapes installed by Signature Landscapes, Inc.

Education:

Horticulture Education or experience is preferred but will hire candidates eager to learn.

Desirable Characteristics:

Ability to identify common landscape components, shrubs, and perennials is necessary. Knowledge of proper trimming techniques and plant diseases and annual flowers is helpful. Interested in landscaping, plants, gardening, friendliness, team player, hard worker, can-do attitude, anticipating the next step, efficient speed, task/goal-oriented, good communication skills, eager to learn, and willing to be flexible.
